SERVICE TEMPORARY ON HOLD
Cryotherapy clinic

Held on a weekly basis for the treatment of viral warts/verrucae, skin tags, seborrhoeic warts and solar keratosis.

Appointments can be made via Reception.

Treatment involves freezing the skin lesion with liquid nitrogen-this causes damage to the treated area leading to a process of inflammation and scabbing and, eventually, destruction of the underlying problem. Skin tags and seborrhoeic warts will often resolve after one treatment but viral warts and solar keratosis frequently require a course of treatment over a few months to clear. Liquid nitrogen does cause a degree of discomfort when applied-most people experience a stinging sensation during the procedure and treated areas may be sore for a few days afterwards. For this reason we do not recommend treating children below the age of 6 years and parents should be aware that children younger than 10 years sometimes have difficulty tolerating the treatment.
